在吉他中国这么久，一直都会有一些朋友问我很多关于Gibson Les Paul 系列吉他的各种问题，其中不乏会有一些关于硬件及其涉及乐器内部本身的非常有价值的问题。

我考虑将这些问题整理做成一系列的帖子,并拿出我搜集的一些图片和资料来与大家一起探讨，通过分析Gibson Les Paul 吉他的硬件内部特点，从而更加了解这种自上个世纪50年代一直到今天都常盛不衰的传奇吉他。

首先我想与大家讨论的就是Gibson Les Paul 的琴颈榫接方式。

大家都知道，电吉他的琴颈与琴体的连接方式大概有三种：螺栓式连接（bolt-on）、榫接式连接（set-in / glued-on）和通体式连接（neck-through-body）；而Gibson Les Paul吉他则采用的是传统的榫接式连接。但是Gibson Les Paul的榫接式连接究竟是什么样的呢，请看下面我所搜集的各种图片。

首先我展示的是Gibson Custom shop的Les Paul 57 Goldtop的琴颈榫接。通过拿下它的琴颈拾音器，我们能清楚地看到57 Goldtop榫接的长度。

然后我们再看一把普通量产的Gibson Les Paul Standard的榫接的长度。

我们会发现57 Goldtop的榫接似乎与Standard的榫接有些许不同。
而这个不同的原因我们可以在Gibson的官方网站上找到答案。
请看下图，请仔细观察切割的枫木贴面所预留的榫接长度。

下面这几张是手工的还在制作中的Les Paul的照片，这些Les Paul还未开拾音器安装槽；我们可以跟刚才Gibson官方所处在同一制作过程的悬挂起来的图片做下对比。

大家看出差别了吧。同样是榫接式连接，但是量产的Gibson Les Paul的榫接还是会相对短小些。这就是量产与Custom Shop/手工琴的差别体现。

接下来的Gibson Les Paul Studio的照片会更明显。因为这是一把正处在维修中的Les Paul Studio，让我们看看拿下它的琴颈会是什么样子：

这是一把Orville By Gibson的榫接，看来作为Gibson的一个日产系列，在琴颈榫接上甚至超越了一些美产Gibson。

从理论上来说，使用加长的琴颈榫接，可以避免出现死音并且增强吉他的稳定性。而且这种制作方法还可以提高音量，改善音色并增进延音。但是实际的情况还要与琴的做工与木材的使用息息相关。
