Andrew Jackson(1829—1837)
安德鲁?杰克逊是美国第七任总统。他于1767年3月15日出生在北卡罗来纳和南卡罗来纳交界地的一个新开拓的边远地区。13岁时就在军队里当通信员。17岁时，他决定学习法律，后来成为律师。1796年，他成为田纳西州在国会中的一名众议员。后来，又当过六个月的参议员，六年高等法院法官。
1812年战争爆发后，杰克逊由于其政治上的名望而在1814年被任命为志愿军少将。1815年1月，新奥尔良一役的胜利，使他名声大振，成为美国在战争中取得最伟大胜利的指挥官。1818年他率部队对佛罗里达的印第安人进行了一次远征，从此声望大增。
1828年11月4日，杰克逊当选为总统。1832年11月6日又蝉联总统。在他任职期间，他大大扩大了总统的权力，并停止设立美国国家银行；在各州拒绝执行国会法令期间，杰克逊的坚定态度阻止了南北卡罗来纳州解散合众国的企图，使内战推迟了30年，在围绕着杰克逊和他的对立面展开全国性的政治斗争的同时，出现了两个政党——追随杰克逊的民主党和反对他的共和党。也由于他一贯的强硬与不妥协态度，获得了一个“Old Hickory”[俚语：意为老顽固]的外号。
1845年6月8日，杰克逊在田纳西州他的家中去世，终年78岁。
在1998年的夏季NAMM SHOW上，GIBSON CUSTOM SHOP推出了一款以Andrew Jackson为主题的纪念版极品LES PAUL吉他。这把吉他以Andrew Jackson的外号-“Old Hickory”命名，恰巧“Hickory”也是胡桃木的意思，所以这把琴的指板采用了顶级胡桃木制作，而琴体则破天荒地采用了树龄高达275岁的顶级白杨木制作（这在环保意识极强的美国，几乎是不可想象的，这次破例是因为这片成长在田纳西州首府纳什维尔市Andrew Jackson故居的白杨木在当年四月的飓风袭击中遭到了破坏，GIBSON同时会用出售这些吉他的部分款项用于灾后重建与弘扬美国精神），有别于通常LES PAUL吉他所使用的桃花心木。琴头上用鲍壳精心镶嵌了这位总统的头像，在指板上则用珍珠贝镶嵌了“Old Hickory”的字样，在琴体的护板上，则惟妙惟肖的雕刻了Andrew Jackson的故居-“Hermitage”外观，在每块拾音器上都雕刻着“GIBSON CUSTOM ART”的LOGO。作为GIBSON最为珍贵与华丽的吉他之一，这款“Old Hickory”中的第一把交于“Hermitage”故居收藏，在北京吉他中心收藏的是另外为数不多的该款吉他之一。
而关于这把琴的价值，GIBSON的官方说法是：“它无法用金钱来衡量”，因为“它代表着伟大的田纳西人民（GIBSON总部所在地与Andrew Jackson的家乡）与大无畏的美国精神”。

[花花公子PLAYBOY NO.1]GIBSON CUSTOM ART Historic LES PAUL PLAYBOY
今天的PLAYBOY花花公子早已不是一本成人杂志那么简单，历经半个世纪，早已成为美国文化的标志，那只小兔脑袋已经成为了最著名的商标之一。在2001年，GIBSON特地制作了50把名为玩伴[Playmate ]的PLAYBOY纪念款LES PAUL CUSTOM吉他，这50把吉他属于GIBSON最为名贵与核心的Historic[历史性纪念款] Les Paul Collection系列，由GIBSON资深琴师手工制作，比起一般意义上的CUSTOM SHOP要求更为严谨与苛刻。
这里展示的是陈列在北京吉他中心的编号为PMY 001的全球第一把2001 GIBSON Historic Playmate LES PAUL 。特殊的粉色闪光漆涂装，分别出现在琴盒，琴头，指板珍珠贝镶嵌，琴身的花花公子小兔头标志，无不散发出浓烈的“性感”气息，尤其是琴头的图案，由密密麻麻的水晶镶嵌而成，在灯光下炫目不已。而这把吉他并非只是“徒有其表”，按照 Historic 标准制作的顶级桃花心木琴体搭配'57 Classic Humbuckers拾音器与ABR-1 琴桥，带来最纯正的LES PAUL之声，就象花花公子女郎一样，狂野又不失细腻。
全球仅有50把，这里是第一把。

KISS可以说是，近三十年以来最具影响力的美国硬摇滚/金属团体。他们是包括ZAKK WYLDE ，DIMEBAG在内，无数摇滚吉他大师的偶像。他们存在的意义早已超越了其音乐本身，放荡不羁的生活方式，华丽怪诞的装扮，黑白分明的妆容，滴血的假舌与高底靴，当然还有ACE FREHLEY 手中尖叫的GIBSON LES PAUL，这一切，早已成为现代美国文化的一面旗帜。对于许多美国人来说，KISS就是摇滚乐的一切。
在1997年NAMM SHOW推出的这款ACE FREHLEY签名LES PAUL完全忠实于他平时使用的订制款59 LES PAUL，最大的特点在于搭载了三块DIMARZIO拾音器，其中后桥拾音器为DIMARZIO“SUPER DISTORTION”超级失真。使其音色浑厚之余，高频部分也十分突出。另外它的乌木指板镶嵌闪电品记，厚度适中的59款琴颈，琴头的ACE FREHLEY舞台头像都堪称一大亮点。按照GIBSON的官方介绍：这是一把彻头彻尾的由ACE FREHLEY设计的吉他，它就是摇滚乐！！
